Sorry! You are Beautiful!

Hello everyone! Firstly, I am really sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been extremely busy! Today's post isn't going to be a DIY, Lifestyle, Beauty ect. It's going to be about a quite serious topic.

Society nowadays has pressurised so many people our age and frankly, it's very upsetting and stressful. We have to stop defining people as 'Beautiful' or 'Ugly' because really, what do these words actually mean? 'Beautiful' is a word us human beings made a definition for. So what really is beautiful and ugly? In a parallel universe, Ugly could be Beautiful. Someone tell me what Beautiful really is? Beautiful is YOU. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Everyone in this world is Beautiful. If you look in the mirror every day and don't see a beautiful person then do something about it. I'm not saying put a crap load of make up on. I mean start believing that you are beautiful yourself. Because you are. No matter how many people say that you're not. You are. And I am not just saying this because you are.

Correct me if I'm wrong but almost all of us see a pretty girl walk by and think to themselves 'Why can't I look like her?'. I bet you have, I mean, I have. Many times. But guess what? That pretty girl you saw probably wears 100 Pounds worth of makeup on her face. You. You don't wear any makeup do you? But you're still beautiful. I want you now to go look in your mirror and point out all the things you love about your body. Stop pointing out all the bad things. I absolutely love my lips and my eyes and my eyebrows. So now point out the things you love. And if you love everything that is great. You have learnt that you ARE beautiful. I love you and so does everyone else in this world.

DIY: Decorating your school books ♡

DIY: DECORATING YOUR SCHOOL BOOKS
Hello my lovelies! Today's post is going to be ANOTHER DIY! I know all of you love my DIY's and I don't know about you guys, but at my school the teachers ask you to cover your books to protect them. Literally EVERYONE covers them in sticky plastic but I thought I could do something different so they l
ook much more nicer and prettier! I hope you enjoy!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will need:
-Your school books
-Patterned paper
-Scissors
-Washi Tape & Clear Tape
-Paper
-Coloured pens
-Sticky gems (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:

Get one of your books and a patterned paper of your choice, in this case, I chose paper with stamps on it and my English book.

STEP 2:

Open up your paper as much as you can and open up your Book and put it on top of your paper, but on the NON PATTERNED SIDE as shown in the picture.

STEP 3:

Cut around your book, but you must leave approximately a 5cm gap on each side, as shown in the picture.

STEP 4:

Now, with your gap, fold it over as shown in the picture.

STEP 5:

When you close the book, it should look like this, keep the folded bit inside of the book.

STEP 6:

Repeat on the other side.

STEP 7:

Leaving the book closed, on each end of the spine, cut a 1cm strip so the book can switch between pages.

STEP 8:

At the bottom of the book, fold over like you did with the sides.

STEP 9:

Over the bottom strip, you just folded, get your tape and tape it down, make sure it goes all the way from edge to edge as shown in the picture.

STEP 10:

Repeat at the top and the other side of the book.

STEP 11:

If you would like to, get your tape and put it on the spine of the book to make your school book even more nicer.

STEP 12:

In each corner, put clear tape so the corners don't get ruined.

STEP 13:

Now you can put your name, class, subject, ect. on the front. Write it on a piece of plain paper and secure it on with clear tape, I also added a little gem in the corner of the label.

STEP 14:

Repeat this on as many books as you want!

I hope you all enjoyed this DIY and it inspired you and that my instructions made sense! Haha! Thank you all for reading! I love you all so much!

DIY- Back to school stationary ♡

Hello my lovelies! I know I haven't posted in weeks! I am so sorry! I had to prepare for my birthday which was last Monday! But now I hopefully can post more often. I know I keep saying that but hopefully now I am :P

Todays post is a DIY! As I am going back to school on Wednesday (uhhhggg), I thought I'd make a post on how to make your school supplies and stationary more pretty and funky, dare I say. :P

What you will need:
Washi Tape
Supplies/ Stationary you want to decorate
Permanent Marker/ Sharpie

Step 1:
Now, in this DIY, I decided to decorate my school pencils and Notebook so it will be on the bases of them, but you can transfer the skills.
So what you need to do is choose your WASHI TAPES!!!!

Step 2:
If you're decorating your pencils/ pens, get your set of pencils/ pens ready.

Step 3:
Get one of your BORING pencils and choose a Washi Tape of your choice.

Step 4:
Start off at the top end (where the rubber is) and line up the Washi Tape so it's taped right at the edge of where the rubber is, as shown in the picture.

Step 5:
In a diagonal motion, start taping the rest of the pencil. It will not work if you don't tape the pencil diagonally because you wont be taping anything! The end result should look something like this...

Step 6:
Now do that to all your pencils until they are all done! You should end up with a set of pretty little pencils!

Now this is how to decorate your Notebook! This can take a lot of time, so you have to be patient!
Step 1:
Get your Notebook! (obvs lul) Some of you may think my Notebook looks nice but personally, I think it's a bit boring so I will be decorating it.

Step 2:
Get one of your Washi Tapes and put it on the backstrip of the book (I had to look up what it was called! xD) I'm sorry the quality of this photo is bad by the way, I din't have time to edit any of them :( It looked good on my camera! :P

Step 3:
Turn your book over so it's on its front so you can decorate the back. Get one of your Washi Tapes and Line it round the edges of the back of the book and then fill in the middle.

Step 4:
Turn over to the front of your book and do the same there. If you also want to label your Notebook, you can as well. I put Notes all over it so now I DEFIANTLY know it's for my Notes! xD

I hope this DIY helped you guys! I got a lot of lovely feedback from people on Instagram about my previous DIY which was The Bored Jar so I hope this goes down as well as that did. If any of you would like to follow my Instagram, my name is lemondropsandsilkblog and you can come say Hi and that my blog brought you there. :) I love you all so much!
